In the Fire zone, Blaze looked around. It was incredibly hot but he was able to stand the heat, and Ryuuku, his charmander, seemed perfectly comfortable. Now... To get some pokemon...

A herd of Ponyta and Rapidash galloped by. Their coats were shiny as the sun relfected off of them. Their fire on their coats seemed to unite and form one big heart. They thundered on to what seemed to be the sun.

Blaze looked at the heard. This was perfect! Now... to single out one of them... Making sure his pokemon were on standby, he carefully observed the heard. He wanted to choose a strong pokemon, but not TOO strong so that he could catch it... He was thinking of maybe a ponyta instead of a Rapidash...

The strongest seemed to be at the front; the weak are at the back. Their was an older looking Rapidash at the front. A little bit behind it was a young Ponyta. They seemed to be father and son. The herd began to move on. You better hurry if you want to catch one.

"Tyrant, Use a sandstorm to stop them," said Blaze. The little Larvitar concentrated and sand all around them started to lift up and almost swirl around them, rushing to the heard of horse pokemon. Blaze hoped that it would be enough to make the heard stop, or at least slow down a bit as he and his three pokemon ran up try and catch up.

The herd squealed as they saw the Sandstorm and the human. They had never seen a human before. The leader reared and looked angry. He glared at Blaze and unleashed a Flamethrower. The leader was the older looking Rapidash. His son stood next to him, enraged. The Ponyta used Fire Spin. After the attacks were launched, the herd turned the other way and ran the opposite direction of Blaze.

"Tyrant, don't let them get away!" said Blaze as he sidestepped the attacks. "Ryuuku, get ready to attack them with an ember... Try to aim at..." Blaze pointed at a Ponyta in the middle of the heard that seemed to be slightly falling behind. "That one." Both pokemon nodded, and Tyrant summoned up an even stronger sandstorm.

All of the fire pokemon used Ember or Flamethrower to make it a fire tornado. They then used their ability, Flash Fire, to not be hurt. They then used a combined Stomp to try and break free.

"Not good," muttered Blaze. That fire tornado was going to be a problem. Maybe he could just let the heard go? That sounded like a brilliant idea. Picking up his pokemon, the trainer ran away, not daring to risk his life in front of that tornado of flame. He likes playing with fire, but he wasn't stupid.

The herd smirked at him and then galloped on. Howevr, a small Ponyta however stayed back. The horse trotted over to Blaze. It looked at him with her big, black eyes.
"Ponyta. Ponyta Pony?" <Are you ok?>

Blaze looked at the ponyta. What was it doing here? "Um... yeah, sure... Your heard is getting away," he said. Wait... what was he saying? He shouldn't be telling that ponyta to GO...

The Ponyta shrugged. "Ponyta Pony ta Pony." <So? I was just an outcast with them.> The fire horse turned to look at them one last time and then turned back to Blaze.

"Oh... I'm sorry then," said Blaze. He looked around, before daring to ask if the horse pokemon wanted to join them. He sure hoped so, for he really couldn't see why this ponyta would be an outcast... it looked so healthy, so strong...

The Ponyta seemed to read his mind. "Ponyta Pony. Ponyta Pony." <They were jealous of me.>
She stared at him.
