((Oh and just so you know, I'm still thinking about the scyther thing, but I think I'll probably wait until she's out of the cave...and I have a funny idea.))
April climbed up a ledge of rock in the cave's wall, pausing to take a look around. Beside her, Flame, her tiny cyndaquil, struggled to reach the top. April leaned down and lifted her on the ledge, still looking around. It was dark, but Flame's small ember was enough to see by. Beside her was the mysterious orange egg.
April picked it up, still not having a clue what was inside. "Hmm..." she said, "It could be a fire type...it's orange..." However, she knew better than to automatically assume it was an orange or a fire pokemon. One could never tell with pokemon eggs.
"Cynda! Cyn cyn!" Flame cried, pawing April's arm, and looking worried.
"What is it?" April said, seeing the alarm on the cyndaquil's face.
Flame blew another ember, aimed at the opposite wall, but all April could see were rocks and cave formations. "There's nothing there..." she began, but Flame didn't quiet down...she had seen something move...

Another Geodude appeared. It smiled at then and then rolled out of sight.

April looked at the geodude, and couldn't help laughing. "That's what you were afraid of?" she asked Flame, "A little geodude?"
Flame looked down at her paws, embarrassed. "Things do look creepy in the dark..." she thought to herself. However, she was no longer scared, and allowed herself to relax.
After a few minutes, April picked up her egg and backpack, and hopped down from the ledge, seeking a new passage to explore. She discovered a large tunnel-like cavern, and headed into it, Flame running ahead a little bit.

Feeling her way through the dark cave tunnel, April kept her eyes on the little fire her cyndaquil was using to light the way. She wondered how much longer this cave would go on...but at the same time, she wanted to explore it.
Up ahead, Flame was beginning to feel tired, and she found it hard to keep up her little ember attack. She stopped for a moment, and stopped her ember attack, saying to her trainer, "Cynda cyn cyn!" Trying to get her to understand she wanted to rest. "I wonder if she still has Cubone's machine..." Flame thought, before sitting down.
Seeing the light go out, and Flame's voice, April decided that she wanted a break. "All right Flame," she said, sitting down, still holding the egg. "Doesn't look like it'll hatch any time soon..." she said, setting it aside. She then tried to look through her backpack in the dark, trying to find the machine, for the moment unaware that resting in complete darkness, unaware of anything going on around them, wasn't a very good idea.

April however, was too busy to notice Larvitar, not that she would be able to see it, anyway. "It's got to be here somewhere..." she muttered.
Flame, however, heard the noise, and turned around, trying to find out what had made it. Not being able to tell in the darkness, she blew a small flame in the direction she thought it was coming from, and noticed the larvitar standing there. As her flames died down, Flame asked, "What do you want?" She was trying to sound brave, though Larvitar was much bigger than her, and she had no idea why it had come.

((Ok, I’m tired of waiting, it’s Scyther time!))
April sighed, not able to find the machine Cubone had used. “Oh well,” she thought, “I’m sure it’ll turn up.” She looked down at Flame, who was using ember to light the way again. April realized she looked very nervous. Taking out her other pokeballs, she released Ponyta, Stream, and Bubble. “At least wild pokemon probably won’t think of attacking all of us at once,” April thought to herself.
Flame stopped her ember, noticing that Ponyta’s flames gave enough light to see by. Ponyta walked forward, followed by the others, who didn’t seem to share Ponyta’s confidence about walking through some dark tunnel of a large and unknown cave.
“I’m scared…” Stream whispered, glancing around at the stony walls of the tunnel.
Ponyta pranced ahead, walking through the end of the tunnel into a large, spacious cavern, with a big pool in it’s center. “Oh no…” he stammered, “Water!”
“Relax…” Bubble told Ponyta, rolling his eyes.
“I hear something!” Stream squeaked, ducking behind Flame, “There’s something in here…”
“Shhh! I’ll check it out, I’m not scared like you wimpy pokemon…” Bubble said, getting annoyed by the fact that the others seemed to think the dark or the water was so scary. As he walked further into the cavern, close to the wall on the left side, he could hear a faint sound as well…the faint scraping of claws. However, though the noise was soon gone, Bubble realized it came from behind a group of large rocks near the wall of the cave. “It’s behind there!” he said to the other pokemon, walking toward the rocks.
April, oblivious to all this, had stopped by the exit to the tunnel, emptying out the contents of her backpack on the floor, using the light from Ponyta’s flames to try and find the machine she lost.
Bubble, being the brave one, scurried up the side of one of the rocks and peered down. Ponyta tried to do the same, but ended up falling back with a cry of dismay. “Ponyta!” called April, “Move closer to me, I can hardly see anything!”
Ponyta wasn’t listening, and he backed up, leaping over the rocks, and kicking Bubble off them by accident. Both of them landed on the other side, right in front of a startled Scyther. Ponyta’s gaze slowly moved from the floor to the Scyther. His eyes grew wide. “B-Bubble!” he whispered, “It’s a-a-a-”
“You’re a fire pokemon, you idiot!” Bubble said, shooting Ponyta a glare. Turning to the Scyther, he asked, “What the heck is a pokemon like you doing in here?”
“I’m lost…” the Scyther said sadly, “I can’t find my way home…” This made Bubble laugh, and he began imitating the Scyther in a whiny voice, “I’m lost…I can’t find home!” “Watch out, Bubble,” said Ponyta, “It’s gonna attack us! You know how scythers are!” “Scythers?” Scyther shouted, ducking behind another rock, “Where?” “Oh great, another genius,” Bubble muttered. “Hey, what’s going on?” said Flame, walking behind the rocks with Stream. “There’s a big scary Scyther and it’s gonna kill us!” Ponyta yelled. Looking towards the Scyther, Flame sighed. “Stop being immature,” she said, walking up to the bug pokemon, who appeared to be “hiding”.
“Hello,” Flame said, trying to be friendly, “My name is Flame. Can you…tell us how you got here?”
“Yes!” said the wild pokemon, still looking around warily, “I was exiled from my old home, so I tried to find a place to live, but I ended up getting lost in this cave! Now my only choice is to go back, if I can ever get out of here.”
“Why were you exiled from your old home?” Flame asked innocently.
The scyther sighed. “The other sentrets drove me away…” he said. “Sentret?” repeated Flame. “Phew!” sighed Ponyta, “If you’re a sentret, we got nothing to worry about, right?” “He’s not a sentret, he’s a-” Bubble began. “Well if I’m not, what else would I be?” the scyther replied. “Confused…” Stream muttered. “Well,” said Bubble, “Let’s go, I’ve had enough of this freak…” “Bye Sentret!” called Ponyta as he walked away.
As the four pokemon headed back to April, they realized she wasn’t there. They soon heard her voice from behind the rocks… “Oh wow! A scyther!”
“Drat…” muttered Bubble, seeing April a moment later walking towards them holding a pokeball in her hand; obviously the scyther hadn’t put up a fight.
“And it was shiny!” April called.

An Aron appeared. It did not notice April at all. It just walked around in the cave.

Stream began to become frightened again, and tried to stay close to Flame. "I hate this cave!" he said, "Why doesn't April return us to our pokeballs, or better yet, get us out of here?"
"No one knows the way," Flame replied, "And we all need to look out for eachother...there's only four of us and April, if you don't count the egg and that scyther."
"Why doesn't the stupid egg hatch already?" Bubble said irritably, "I'm tired of April having to carry it around everywhere...it doesn't DO anything!"
"It'll be nice when we're all a team of six travelling pokemon," Flame said, knowing her trainer could only take six pokemon with her on her journey, "But until then it'll be just us four..."
"Oooh, look at that!" said Ponyta, trotting over to Aron.
"Us three," said Bubble to Stream and Flame, "He's NOT one of us!"

April looked down at the egg, hearing the crack. Setting it down on the cave floor, she sat beside it as her pokemon ran over.
"It's hatching!" cried Stream, for once in seemingly forever not seeming scared of the cave.
"About time," muttered Bubble, looking at the egg with little interest.
Flame anxiously watched, hoping whatever was inside would make a good playmate for her.
Forgetting about the Aron, Ponyta stood up close to the egg. "Oh no it broke!" he cried, seeing a small crack in it, "Now it'll never hatch!"
"It's hatching now genius," Bubble muttered.
"Quiet guys!" April said, as they all watched the egg closely...

The egg layering fell away to reveal a Roselia. It was quite small for its age, but it looked healthy. It looked up at April with huge, trusting eyes.
