Once April had made it out of the woods, she noticed the shape of a lare cave looming up ahead. Looking at the cave in awe, she couldn't help but go inside and see what was in there. And somehow, it seemed that she HAD to enter this cave. Releasing Flame, she told the cyndaquil to use ember, and provide her with some light. "This could be exciting..." she thought to herself, "But it could also be dangerous..."

Several Cubone were sitting on the ground nearby. They were around a card table and holding cards in their hands. There were some chips on the table. They seemed to be playing poker.
<It's your turn, Bill.> said one Cubone to the Cubone that it was sitting next to.

April stopped in her tracks. "What in the world...?" she thought. She had seen pokemon do some strange things (Ponyta) but this was unexpected. Without warning, Ponyta popped out of his pokeball. He saw what the Cubone were doing and galloped over to them. "I WANNA PLAY!" he shouted. April continued to stand and stare.

The Ponyta had knocked over the table and the chips. Hey they were real! One Cubone picked one of the ground and ate it. The leader stepped up.
<What was that for?>

"I just wanted to play..." Ponyta muttered, glancing around him nervously. Obviously he hadn't taken into consideration that he had hooves.

They shrugged and began searching for their cards they had flung into the air when the fire horse had surprised them.

"I'll help you!" Ponyta cried, prancing around the cave. His mane of fire allowed him to see better in the darkness, but as he bent down to pick up one of the cards in his teeth, some of the flames from his mane sparked onto the card, setting it on fire. "Oops..." Ponyta whispered as he watched it burning. He tried to stamp out the flames with his hooves, but the burned card crumbled.

The Cubone didn't seem worried about that card.
<It's ok. That was a joker card. It wasn't important.>

"Ok, good!" Ponyta said, "I'll help you find the-" "Uh, Ponyta," Flame interrupted, "How about I help?" "Oh, all right..." Ponyta said, watching Flame scurry around, picking up any card she came across. April walked up to Ponyta. "Hi April!" Ponyta said, "These Cubone were playing a fun card game, and I wanted to play but I knocked over the cards then I tried to help but I burned one but it wasn't important." After listening to a series of 'Ponyta! Pony pony ta! Pony ponyta ta!', April sighed, wishing she knew what was going on.

After the Cubone found the last card it went back to the others. They were already playing another game though. This time they were playing Hide and Seek. One of the Cubone was counting.

April decided it was time to carry on; they probably had a long way to go, and she wanted to explore. But Ponyta seemed to want to play with the cubone, and ran off to hide somewhere.

The Cubone that was 'it' went out to search for its friends or the Ponya. It quietly entered the way the Ponyta had went.

April turned around, noticing Ponyta had left. Flame used a bright ember to light up the cavern, but it wasn't enough. All around April was a maze of tunnels. Ponyta could have gone in any one of them. "Ponyta!" she shouted, running down a tunnel with Flame following.
Ponyta, meanwhile, was hiding behind a large stalagmite, not realizing that the light from his flames might give him away...

April stopped a moment, seeing the strange figure. Ponyta seemed to have forgotten what he was doing, and leaped out of his hiding place, running strait into the figure by accident.
