Ross's eyes narrowed. He pushed himself to his feet, pulling off his socks and shoes and rolling up his pants. He waded into the water toward the ghostly looking vessel, eyes locked on the wooden frame as his mind searched frantically for an explanation to it's sudden appearance.

It seems to have been there the whole time. Fog has just been surrounding it so you couldn't see.

Ross pulled his legs through the resistance of the water, eyeing the boat quite curiously. He felt the eyes of another on his back, and turned to look at Kitsune, said eyes narrowing even futher. But without a word, he dissappeared under the surface of the water, his Seal making its way to the center of the lake after him, and following.
Both trainer and Pokemon searched under the water for an entrance.

Kitsune pulled the starter pack from his bag, and looked through it, wondering just what it was he'd gotten from the professor as he wandered along the path, following the route most trainers took to begin their journey. He gapsed when he saw the Pokedex, and opened it. His father had one, and he'd loved to spend hours flipping through its electronic pages, listening to the voice and reading the entries. He'd learned so much about Pokemon from that one Pokedex. His father had travelled all over the world, looking for Pokemon and training...He'd brought back so much information, it fascinated young Kitsune.
I can't wait to fill this thing...He started getting excited again...
...At just abut the time he stumbled upong Ross.
He stopped when he saw the guy in the water, and blinked, trying to figure out what he was doing in...the middle of a lake...
Looking for Pokemon? he wondered, gazing around.

A Poliwag bounnced along on the beach of the lake, squirting random bubbles everywhere. A larger Croconaw appeared to be following it stealthfully, and licking it's chops. Surfacing in the lake itself was a wooper, who let out a shrill cry, and then descended back into the depths of the lake.

Ross explored the underwater ship best he could, holding his breath as long as possible. Seal helped manuvor him through the water, but in the end, he wasn't able to see all of the wooden vessel before he was forced to retire to the surface. His head shot out of the water, and his hair flopped back over onto his head, before sliding down over his eyes once more as he took a gasp of air. He didn't seem to notice the boy as Seal appeared before him, and he had only eyes for the two running Pokemon.
He pulled a ball from his side and tossed it hard up onto the beach, not that he was that far away. In fact, he could feel the weeds at the bottom tickling his feet. He made his way to the sand, followed closely by Seal as Jolteon appeared on the bankside. Its stare was full of disdain as it glanced at the water, then turned its attention to the approaching two.
"Jolteon! Thundershock, hit both!" Ross shouted as he pulled himself out of the lake, water dripping from his body whilst he returned Seal to his ball, not bothering to put his shirt and shoes back on before starting the battle.

Kitsune gasped, and nearly dropped his Pokeball when the Jolteon appeared. He staggered back, away from the scene, withdrawing to watch from the shadows of the trees nearby.
Just as he always had...

A Spearow watched the two from a tree.

(I'll try.)
The Thundershock hit the Croconaw. Angered, it turned to Jolteon and used Water Gun .
