"Eeeek!" 'Toto!'
Both trainer and pokemon had cringed at the sight of the flames, the female opening an eye slightly to see they had been dozed off by Filos. Sighing in relief she gave the Lotad a thankful smile, before nodding at Denkou. However, there was no time to thank him properly, the gorup launching an even worst combination now.
"Hydro, Water Gun! Rhysia, Spark!"
lamethrower.Ember was strong - and she wasn't fully sure that even a water gun between both Filos and Hydro would turn them off - so she had her Pachirisu add a bit of electricity to the fray to make the water attack stronger. Oh man, this didn't look good...

"You guys! Help out too!"
Denkou ordered to his three Pokemon, seeing that the Ponyta weren't going to let up. This wasn't to be pretty if those Fire Pokemon got the advantage in this. Both trainers and their Pokemon could be black and charred by the end of this...
Kyia nodded, and sent a Thundershock at the oncoming attack. Filos also joined in, spraying another Water Gun at the massive attack. However, Skiazo didn't attack. The Sableye crept away from all the action, and over towards the shiny Ponyta. They were all distracted, so this was his chance. The Pokemon formed a Shadow Ball in his claws, then silently tried to throw it at the shiny Ponyta.

The herd fought back with an Ember/Flamethrower mix. However, the Shadowball managed to hit two Rapidash that were standing right next to the Shiny Ponyta. The two quickly turned to Skiazo and attacked using Flamethrower.

Ok, this was getting out of hand...
"Every one, COOL IT!!!"
Really, this was pointless - all they wanted was to battle the Shiny Ponyta - and perhaps another Ponyta - but not the whole herd! It was by sheer luck the female managed to avod the ember/flamethrower, both her and her pokemons sweat dropping. Hopefully they could reach an agreement with the stallion of the herd?

The leader of the herd stepped forward. It was an older Rapidash that looked powerful and wise. He approached Yuri.
<What do you want with our baby Ponyta? It is the weakest in the pack.>

Denkou's Pokemon ceased their attacking, and retreated to their trainer. Skiazo was nearly burnt to a crisp by the intense Fire attack, but the Pokemon managed to escape it, and scurry back to Denkou.
The male glanced over at Yuri quietly, and couldn't help but agree with her. They weren't really getting anywhere with all of this fighting. It was so much work to get one single Pokemon. Although, Denkou wasn't the kind of person to do things the civilized way, this time he pushed his stubbronness aside.

As the leader stepped fowards so did the female, leaving the trio of pokemons she owned behind - just to show she didn't meant any harm. His information was slightly surprising - yet the female really didn't care much about strenght at the moment. Blue fire was just simply awesome - and she liked the looks of the small foal. Besides, any pokemon could grow to be strong with training.
"I'll be honest, It's your baby's appearance what appeals to me the most - not how strong or weak it might be. Besides, with some training I'm sure this foal could grow to be one of the best. It just takes will and determination... And lots of patience. Do excuse us, I guess we didn't quite tried doing things the civilized way, we should have known it was still just a babe and should have spoken with you before trying to attack it."
One thing Yuri would always boast to Denkou's face - ho she could understand pokemons and he could not. Screw getting the strongest of the Ponytas, she liked this one!

The Rapidash responded quickly. <You don't get it. That foal is only a few months old. She also has a disability.>

"Really, what kind of disability? And I don't mind, I can wait for her to grow up - I'm sused to taking care of baby pokemons after having Togepi, a Cleffa and a Magby."
The female responded just as quick, watching the Stallion. He looked old and wise... Perhaps she could strike a fair deal between them. Plus, wouldn't it be better for the foal to be with a trainer, rather than in the Safari and endangering the rest of the herd every time a trainer came along wanting to catch it?

Denkou stayed behind, and remained silent as Yuri spoke with the Rapidash. Well, he had no clue as to what they were talking about... except he figured that the shiny Ponyta had some sort of disability. He didn't want to get in Yuri's way as she spoke with the wise old Pokemon, because he had a tendancy of messing things up. He'd probably have an outburst of bad words, and crush any hope of getting that Pontya...

The Rapidash didn't answer. Finally, it spoke in a quiet voice. <She has a hole in her heart. We think she's going to die soon.>

"Say what?!" Forget being all nice and calm and stuff - this was serious. Looking at the leader of the heard the female blinked, almostmad enough to yll out at the stallion - though she did managed to keep her voice controlled, if not slightly angered. "And you guys never tried to get one of the Safari guys to check her out?! A hole in her heart is a serious thing, but maybe a Nurse Joy or someone could be able to heal her up - or find a way to diminish that disability as much as possible so she can have a happy and long life. Oh, Aruseus, I can't believe this..." Really, she hated knowing that a wild pokemon had such a serious complication - and that it was a young one at that. No one deserved to die so early in life...

The Rapidash glared at her. <Don't you think we've tried?!? We have, and they've haven't been able to do anything. For the rest of her life, she wants to live out here in the plains with her family. She never said anything about going away with some little trainer and her boyfriend.>

Denkou slipped his hands into his jean pockets, and stared at the ground. He ached to have the ability to understand Pokemon speech right now. He was dying to figure out what Yuri and the Rapidash were talking about. He would've asked Yuri, but he figured that she was deep into this conversation.
On the other hand, Denkou's Pokemon could understand everything. Kyia and Filos grimaced, while Skiazo seemed to care less. Ouch, that was horrible... the Mareep and Lotad felt soprry for that poor shiny Ponyta...

"Ugh..." The female sighed, a hand rubbing the sides of her fore head softly using her thumb, index and middle fingers - before she got a headache the size of Iris. "I suppose you do have a point, the least she can do is live the rest of her days with her family..." Sighing the female gazed at the Shiny Ponyta for a moment. She just wished there was something they could do... "If only a miracle could be made. I wonder if Legends could be able to help- Nah, they probably couldn't achieve it either..." It was quite frustrating, wantig to do something to help but not being able to do so.
